Information on the collection, processing and use of your data (privacy policy)

We place great importance on the correct handling of your personal data which is collected by us when you visit our website and on providing you with detailed information about the collection, storing and handling of this data. When handling your data we adhere strictly to all applicable data protection regulations:

  1. Collection, processing and use of personal data 
    Personal data refers to any information relating to your personal identity. This includes, for example, your name, address, e-mail address and other personal information that you submit to us when you visit our website. 
If you visit our website without contacting us via e-mail, contact form, order or similar, none of your personal data will be collected, processed and/or used. 
You will only be asked for personal data whenever you contact us via e-mail, contact form or regarding an order. Should you contact us and provide us with personal data using any of the forms of communication mentioned above, we assure you that we will adhere to data protection regulations. 
Below are some examples of occasions when you will be asked to provide us with personal data and some information on how we use and process this data:

Newsletter

    Newsletter
    If we provide you with a newsletter, you must at least send us your e-mail address. The submission of your name is not required for receiving a newsletter. In the event that we ask you for a name, you can either omit this information or provide a pseudonym. You can also unsubscribe from our newsletter distribution list at any time; you will then receive no further newsletters from us.

    Personalised services 
    Whenever you use any of our services for which registration is required, we will store, process and use any data submitted to us as part of this registration to enable us to supply you with the services offered. 

  2. Collection, processing and use of usage data 
    Usage data is data that is transmitted by your browser whenever you visit our website, without this data being actively communicated to us (e.g. when completing a form). 
Whenever you visit our website the following data is automatically stored by the web server provider: 

    • the IP address of your computer
    
• your browser request (URL and file name),
    
• the website from which you are visiting us (referrer),

    • the time and date of your visit
    
• if you arrive at our website via a search engine, the search term/s that you used to find our website 

    We store this data so that we can detect any intentional disruptions or misuse of our website and to enable us to perform quality assessments of our website.     Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer by web servers each time you visit a website. The next time the relevant website is called up, your browser sends the previously generated cookie back to the web server. As you are ‘recognised’ by cookies, a website can be personalised through the use of cookies, pop-ups can be controlled in a targeted manner and website navigation can be facilitated.

    How do we use cookies? 
    Our entire website can also be used without cookies. Cookies may be placed for specific purposes (e.g. for controlling pop-up windows, as an aid when completing forms, in forums etc.) These cookies will only be used on your next visit to our website to establish whether or not you have previously visited our website. You can prevent the storing of cookies by third party providers (such as Google Analytics) as described in the section entitled ‘Rejecting cookies’. If you do not do this, by using our website you agree to the processing of any data stored in these cookies by Google Analytics.

    Any data collected within the context of your usage of our website will not be forwarded to any third parties, unless

• we are obliged to disclose this data, for example due to a court order or an official order

    • due to the intentional disruption of our website 

  5. Amendments to your data

  6. Right of revocation 
    If you no longer wish to receive information or newsletters, you can revoke your consent to the sending of this information at any time. Please notify us of this by sending an e-mail to the following address: info@hotel-rosenau.de. Your data will then be deleted from our distribution list. 

  7. No liability for partner websites 
    We make repeated references on our website to the websites of partners, directories etc. The providers of these websites normally have their own privacy policies. We accept no liability for the for the privacy policies of these partners.

  8. Data security 
    We use organisational and technical procedures to protect any data that we collect from you to the best of our knowledge. However, we cannot accept any responsibility or liability for the unlawful accessing of your data by third parties (e.g. by hackers).

  10. Amendments to privacy policy 
    We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy at any time in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations. For the use of our website, the privacy policy available online at the time of your visit shall always apply. 
If you submit any personal data to us, we will use the appropriate means of communication (e.g. e-mail) to inform you of any changes to our terms and conditions no later than four weeks before they come into effect. In the event that you do not object to these amendments within four weeks of receipt of our notification, the amended privacy policy shall be deemed accepted. 

    Explanation of terms: 

    Domain:
    A domain is used to identify websites (e.g.hotel-rosenau.de) and consists of an individual description followed by a full stop and country or company-specific identifier (e.g. ‘de’ for Germany, ‘at’ for Austria, ‘ch’ for Switzerland).

    IP address:
    An IP address is an address within computer networks that is based on Internet Protocol (IP). It is assigned to devices that are linked to the network and makes the devices addressable and therefore reachable in this way. The IP address is used to enable the transportation of data from its sender to the intended recipient. Just like the postal address on an envelope, data packages are marked with an IP address, which clearly identifies the recipient. In contrast to postal addresses, IP addresses are not bound to a particular address.
